Cromlix House – opening soon!

Last night I was invited to attend a dinner at Andy Murray’s new hotel Cromlix House just outside Dunblane.

Since purchasing the hotel, major renovations have taken place and almost all is in place for the grand opening on the 1st of April.

Unfortunately we were not allowed to take any photos but I can assure you it’s looking fantastic.

The executive chef heading up the team is award winning Darin Campbell and dinner was superb.

Dinarobin – what’s new

I last stayed at Dinarobin 2 years ago for a special birthday and it’s always good to refresh your mind with the rooms and changes, and there have been a few since I stayed.

Children are well catered for in their own rooms within family suites with their own welcome gifts, toiletries and robes.

There are massage cabanas now set up on the beach where you can enjoy treatments.

A new addition is the Cabanon bar area where you can also have snacks and light meals and chill out.Half price champagne at happy hour every afternoon !

Two brand new 4 bedroomed villas have been built which offer fabulous
space for families or couples travelling together.

Lots of outside space, dining gazebo, 2 golf carts and 6 bicycles are all included.

Shanti Maurice – dining experiences

There are 2 main restaurants at Shanti – Stars which serves mainly cape cuisine and overlooks the ocean and Pebbles which serves Indian and typical Mauritian tastes.

Fish and Rhum Shack – this restaurant opens once or twice a week and is situated on the beach in an informal rustic setting. The chef cooks fresh seafood on live charcoal grills.

GrandMa’s Kitchen – this is a fantastic way of eating dinner at the home of the GrandMa of one of the staff members. GrandMa teaches the guests how to cook local Mauritian dishes and is a very popular dinner for guests to book.

If you wish to dine in your room or terrace there is no additional charge for this.
