7 nights in Penang in Malaysia or why not twin with a few nights in Kuala Lumpur as well ?
After a swift 30 minute transfer from the international airport with Chris from The Seychelles Tourist Board ( chatting about Liverpool Football Club and amongst other things whoever thought we would be discussing Allo Allo and Hyacinth Bouquet ) we arrived on the exclusive south end of Mahé at The Kempinski Seychelles Resort. The hotel is on the famous Baie Lazare and only 40 minutes from the capital Victoria.
It’s a quick overnight stay before we hop on a plane to explore this amazing part of the world.
The Kempinski caters for all – from honeymooners to families and groups of friends holidaying together.
If you have enough of chilling out by the pool or at the beach there are tennis courts, volleyball and a gym along with a fantastic watersports and a Padi diving centre.
The hotel also has Kempinski The Spa set in the midst of a green sanctuary and beneath granite rock foundations.
This 5 star hotel was opened in 1975 so will celebrate it’s anniversary on the 20th of October next year. Special anniversary offers available for what will be one of the most exciting parties of the year !
On the east coast of the island with 1.6 kms of beach the hotel prides itself on an excellent food and beverage service along with fantastic staff, some of whom have been here since the opening day. The repeat client ratio is 43%.
I have previously stayed at LUX* Le Morne so was familiar with the concept and the 50 reasons for staying at a LUX* hotel.
A fantastic show round and lunch with the delightful Jemima started off our visit here.
As is the case at other resorts you can call home free of charge from the red British telephone boxes. It’s so popular that there are 2 here.
There are many activities and sports that you can take part in if you don’t want to just chill out and relax at the hotel. Also, the 2 golf courses at the nearby sister hotel Constance Belle Mare Plage are just a short drive away.
Here are some examples of whats going on,on a weekly basis at the hotel
I have previously visited the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius on 2 family holidays. This time my visit is to stay and experience a selection of 5star hotels on the island courtesy of The Azure Collection with flights with Air Mauritius.
Staying in 5 different hotels and visiting 4 others it is a great way to see the changes taking place within the hotel industry on the island.
Mauritius is a fantastic destination for families as well as couples and honeymooners.
It also has the added bonus of some fantastic golf courses attached to hotels offering complimentary green fees.
