Thanks from Fiona @ The Travel Architect

The Travel Architect offers a bespoke, personalised service which ensures clients always have the exact holiday they brief me on.

This week I’ve had some great feedback from returning clients and some beautiful gifts so “Thank You ” very much.

Beautiful flowers received today from clients who had a fantastic holiday in Bangkok and Koh Samui to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.

I spent an hour looking at their holiday pics as I love Thailand so much !

First stop was The Banyan Tree in Bangkok and these were their comments :

Yes we were upgraded to a suite and this also entitled us to full use of club room facilities and spa. It also gave us complimentary massages, 90 minutes each, and free champagne on arrival for our anniversary. It is hard living like royalty but we will just have to get used to it. We loved Koh Samui and the Bophut beach resort and spa and had lots of anniversary treats on arrival.Thank you very much for organising everything for us and the card you sent out from Scotland. Your attention to detail was amazing.

Then I received a fantastic Jo Malone bag of goodies from a client for all my efforts  in organising a holiday to Venice and the Italian Lakes for her 50th birthday.

The Travel Architect arrives at Shanti Maurice – Mauritius

I spent the last night of my recent fam trip with The Azure Collection at the 5 star Shanti Maurice Hotel – A Nira Resort in the south of Mauritius. Shanti means peace and its certainly the case here ! It’s a very peaceful, quiet place to chill out and have a holiday.

The resort is spread out over 36 acres of tropical gardens and you can easily wander around without meeting anyone else.

The hotel opened in 2006 with 61 suites which are split into 2 areas – 17 villas and 44 suites. The suites are oceanfront which are on the upper level and beachfront which have direct access to the beach and the addition of an outside shower. All suites are 81 sq mtrs so very large.

The villas are 1 and 2 bedroomed and have their own swimming pools, sala and extensive outside areas.

The Travel Architect visits LUX* Belle Mare

I have previously stayed at LUX* Le Morne so was familiar with the concept and the 50 reasons for staying at a LUX* hotel.

A fantastic show round and lunch with the delightful Jemima started off our visit here.

As is the case at other resorts you can call home free of charge from the red British telephone boxes. It’s so popular that there are 2 here.

The Travel Architect arrives at Constance Le Prince Maurice Hotel

Constance Le Prince Maurice Hotel opened in 1998 and last year underwent a major refurbishment programme.

The hotel has constantly won prestigious awards in the hotel and leisure industry and it is easy to see why they have so many repeat guests.

With over 320 members of staff to take care of 180 guests (when fully booked ) the service is second to none.

On arrival I had a welcome note from the GM along with some macaroons which I look forward to sampling later on.

The Travel Architect arrives in Mauritius

I have previously visited the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius on 2 family holidays. This time my visit is to stay and experience a selection of 5star hotels on the island courtesy of The Azure Collection with flights with Air Mauritius.

Staying in 5 different hotels and visiting 4 others it is a great way to see the changes taking place within the hotel industry on the island.

Mauritius is a fantastic destination for families as well as couples and honeymooners.
It also has the added bonus of some fantastic golf courses attached to hotels offering complimentary green fees.
