Dining with the stars at Planet restaurant – The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel

Dining with the stars is guaranteed at Cape Town’s most stylish restaurant. Crystal balls grace the entrance and the décor includes a galaxy-themed carpet, planetary chandelier and twinkling ceilings. It truly is an amazing space.Fantastic artwork leads you to Planet restaurant.

Matching the décor are Chef Rudi Liebenberg’s heavenly menus, journeys of gastronomic discovery featuring the freshest local ingredients.

The Travel Architect in Cape Town – South Africa

I’ve been to Cape Town a few times before and this time decided to make the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel our home for a few days.

The hotel is set in beautiful gardens at the base of Table Mountain and a short stroll to fashionable Kloof Street. It’s a quick £3 taxi journey down to the V and A Waterfront.

It has 2 pools in the landscaped gardens which are tended to by a team of gardeners and amongst the gardens there are many sculptures.

The Travel Architect arrives at Constance Le Prince Maurice Hotel

Constance Le Prince Maurice Hotel opened in 1998 and last year underwent a major refurbishment programme.

The hotel has constantly won prestigious awards in the hotel and leisure industry and it is easy to see why they have so many repeat guests.

With over 320 members of staff to take care of 180 guests (when fully booked ) the service is second to none.

On arrival I had a welcome note from the GM along with some macaroons which I look forward to sampling later on.

Marrakech from Scotland

Easyjet have announced they will operate a twice weekly flight from Glasgow to Marrakech from the 29th of October.

This is fantastic news for Scotland and is a great city to visit for some culture and winter sunshine.

I have visited Marrakech several times and stayed at a variety of riads and luxury hotels, most recently last November at PURE which is a conference for those in the travel business.

Keep posted for some great deals to Marrakech

Next week I am heading off to Antigua,Barbuda and Anguilla for 7 nights on a trip to investigate what there is to do on these beautiful islands.

I will be visiting, dining and staying at some amazing hotels during my time there so keep posted to my blog for some great information and photos.

The following week I have been invited by Rosewood Hotels to stay at the amazing Rosewood Jumby Bay and Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda, one of the British Virgin Islands.

At the moment my itinerary is being finalised and will also include Peter Island and Biras Creek part of the British Virgin Islands.
