Raffles – Dubai – The Staff

I am lucky to have stayed in some fantastic 5 star luxury hotels throughout the world and do have my favourite hotels for various reasons but I have to say that every member of staff I have come across has offered an exceptional level of service, from Alison at breakfast time who remembers I have peppermint tea to Kennedy in the club lounge who knows I love the Sauvignon Blanc !

Yesterday I met with Andy the General Manager and passed on my comments to him. He has an exceptional team here at Raffles in Dubai.

Raffles – Dubai / lobby area

I have been fortunate to have stayed in some wonderful hotels in the world.

We have been at Raffles for less than 24 hours now but the welcome from all levels of staff is really second to none.

Everyone knows our names, is extremely willing to help and to ensure we have a fantastic time here.

The lobby area is simply stunning and 85 per cent of the hotel is marble.

This evening in the club lounge we have had some great conversations with Frederick and Robinson from Kenya.

The Travel Architect arrives in Dubai

After a quick 7 hour overnight from Glasgow we arrived in Dubai at 8am.

Luggage and golf club picked up,taxi transfer and by 9am we were checked into our club room on the 9th floor at Raffles. Thanks to Dharmendra Sharma for arranging early check in for us.

These entrance level rooms are amongst the largest in Dubai at 70 sq mtrs with a lovely balcony. Our room overlooked the beautifully manicured gardens.
