We left by water taxi from our hotel to Santa Lucia train station for our departure on the Venice Simplon-Orient Express from Venice to London.

Venice really is a photographers dream
After a quick transfer from our Jet2 flight from Edinburgh we arrived in the sunshine of Venice.
For this trip I had chosen The Centurion Palace Hotel, part of the Sina Hotel Group, across the Grand Canal from St Marks Square.
It is a very quirky, eclectic hotel with varying room types and colour schemes.
